Let’s talk about decorations. Your house is probably still full of candy, spider webs (hopefully the fake ones), and other Halloween decorations. However, it’s time for the transition to fall decor. You know, keep the pumpkin and ditch the zombie kind of transition.
Fall decor is exciting because it is a subtle and fun way to keep your house up to date with the seasons.
Let’s take a look at a common space in your home, the living room. If you have the resources, we love switching out our pillows for a rustic orange pillow paired with a beige pillow with a subtle pattern. Add some mini pumpkins, of varying color, on your side tables. Place a nice fall wreath around a cinnamon, apple scented candle on your dining table. Lastly, line your mantle with candles, pumpkins, and tall flowers.
One space, everyone entering your home, will see is the exterior entrance. If you have steps, place some medium size pumpkins on each step, occasionally throwing in some nice fall mums. Keep it simple and cute!
A general tip to keep in mind when shopping for fall decor: white pumpkins are in and they look great next to a vase of orange million bells, orange lilies, red dahlias or red daisies. An additional and resourceful tip is that pinecones are a fun transitional piece that can be used for winter decorations, as well. It’s always nice to plan ahead.
We hope you can take away a few, fun, fall decor tips from us and enjoy the fall weather along with it.
